I bought a Laptop from Flawless that I received back in late January. By now all of us should expect them to go bankrupt.

I was wondering what options do I have to receive a partial refund from flawless for the following Items..

    1) The warranty as specified on the site is for flawless care. I paid for three years parts & labor plus 2 year accidental protection. I am assuming this service is provided by flawless computers only and can not be transferred over to another company. I would expect to be eligible for a $350.00 refund since this is the case.

2)I payed for Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003. At a value cost of $270.00 dollars. Since it is an OEM edition and i received no product key. I have no way to reinstall it on my machine (this is my assumption) if i ever have to reinstall windows. Since flawless did not, or will not provide any way to obtain the product key or provide a license to reinstall the software.
I basically payed for something that i have no ownership too. I would expect to receive a refund for this too. What happens if i upgrade to vista. I will have a none working copy of office correct?

I will email Brian with a request for a refund for both of this items, Unless there is a way for me to reinstall office without buying another license. Then I will only request a refund for the warranty. Since i will probably not get anywhere with the refund request, I will then contact my credit card company to get a partial refund for this.

Anyone agree or disagree with me? or have input on the microsoft office.

My input on the office is they provided you with a copy that was installed on many machines. Meaning they purchased a single copy of office and just loaded it onto machines that needed it. This means you paid for something you didn't receive. Since you paid with a credit card you are protected. I would recommend contacting your credit card company and asking for a refund for these items you didn't receive.

Others have stated on the forum "A warranty is only as good as the company backing it". Which is absolutely true. This can be learned by this unfortunate case or the ATS problems that i am sure most have heard about lately.
