I just bought a WD 320GB hard drive to put in the third slot in my 9262 (the empty slot turned out to be the top space in the double bay next to the battery.

My question is should there be anything between the bottom hard drive and the top hard drive separating them? Or do I just set the new hdd right on top of the old one? Doesn't say anything about this in the upgrade manual.

    Thanks,

    Ian

There is nothing needed, they will not touch if you put the 4 screws, to hold it.

Thanks! So do you mean there should be screws in the circled holes acting as stand-offs? (see attached image, showing bottom hard drive that is already in the bracket)

Ah, nevermind, I see the ones on the side. Too bad my hard drive did't come with any screws!

The chassis should have come with the screws afaik, otherwise ask your reseller if they can supply you some
