Hi,
I wanted to get expert opinion on a possible upgrade.
I just got my Sager NP 8690 and was thinking of making it a RAID 0 configuration by adding a second HDD instead of my Optical Drive
I was planning on using 2nd Hard Drive Caddy for Sager NP8690 / 8690 , also for SSD [OBHD-SATA12-SATA-BU] - $44.75 : NewmodeUS, Hard Drive Caddys for Notebooks
and then installing another drive of the same size 300GB.
Would it allow me to install a RAID 0 configuration ?
Thanks in advance.

Only if you flash the W870CU bios on your laptop (just the bios) and even in that case you would be the first one to test it. So you tell us
But it definitely would be nice to have RAID 0 as an option. BTW, check out
this thread.

Is the W870CU bios compatible with NP 8690 ?

It will work, people have had success flashing it. You get options to overclock and to disable HT or enable VT. But so far it's not sure if RAID will work, but the option is available.

I have been googling and nbreview searching for quite a while now..
Can anybody please link me where I can find the latest MySN bios for W860CU /W870CU. I want to disable HT and try overclocking and try out RAID 0
Is the BIOS link here the best option ?
Thanks
