    Hi guys.

A question which could be a little silly but here goes.

I have 16gb 2400mhz ram and want to upgrade. My question is can I just buy another stick of ram at the same size and speed or does it also have to be the same brand?

    Thanks for all help.

While best results come from matching everything possible, the same specs on a different brand aren't usually a huge problem.

Make sure the Cas Latency (CL) is the same at least. The sub timings will likely get a little looser but there is very little chance of measuring the impact even with a benchmark.

If it's a decent price that's the best way to go :)
