    Hello, and Happy new year.

Ok maybe im asking a stupid question, I have a Clevo P150HM with 8GB samsung of ram installed supposed to be 1333MHz, but in CPU-Z it shows as half that at 665.2MHz is there a reason for that or is something not quite right?

    I have never noticed before.

CPU Z will always show half speed, since its DDR (Double Data Rate) you double the speed it shows to get your real speed of 1333Mhz.

For assurance purposes, check your BIOS. It will tell you the frequency as auto-detected by your motherboard. If it's not configured properly, you may be able to change the setting from "Auto" so that you can make any adjustments needed (I've had to do this on an old ASRock board that auto-detected my RAM at 333MHz when it was actually 400MHz).

I was confused with this as well. My ram was appearing as 800mhz but Malibal customer service explained the same as Hutsady above.

Well "real speed" is quite a tricky topic here unless we are going to start defining chip clocks, bus clocks and IMC clocks :p
