I am about to purchase the M570RU / Sager 5790. I want to get it with 4 gigs of ram but notice that you can't really use all of the ram with XP unless it XP x64. I was thinking about purchasing that but I hear from a lot of people saying that drivers for that OS is limited and it is quite buggy.

Most of the softwares that I would be running is related to graphics, such as Maya, photshop, illustrator, Flash, 3Ds max, and Zbrush.

I don't want vista because it is such a memory hog, i rather stick with XP but still use all of the ram. Should i go with Vista or XP X64? I prefer performance but not at the risk where it is going to crash or be all buggy on me. Any suggestions?

XP 64 is more buggy then Vista. Also everything is being developed for Vista and drivers for the new hardware are hard to find in XP let alone XP 64. If you wanted to stay 32 bit I could see why you may want XP but in 64 bit there is no way you would pick XP over Vista.
