My videocard (AMD Radeon HD6990M) died on my Sager NP8170.

I dont want to spend too much money on a new videocard as I want to change my laptop in like 2 years.

Where can I buy a new laptop videocard (Canada)? What would fit in my laptop and have a good quality/price?

    Fwiw, my screen is a 17.3" 1920 x 1080 FHD LED AUO B173HW01 V.5 72% NTSC Matte Display.

7970M (V1.2 PCB ONLY with HM bios) or a 680M with the correct vbios are the highest performance options.

You can always try baking the card to squeeze some more life out of it. That seems to work for a lot of people with the same card, but its only a temporary fix.

Give Eurocom a call, its a Canadian company that have the most parts in supply for Clevo and may have nodded hardware too.

Aye, Eurocom may be able to help. If budget is a concern, you can look into getting a 560M instead. The cards are sold online, but the older the card, the more scarce the circulation/availability is.
