On my 9262 I an having intermitent Raid errors.

I seems to be associated with the 2nd raid channel, since even if I move the disks arround or change form raid 0 to raid 5, it's the 2nd drive that has an error.

With raid 5 I can fix, but would like raid 0 sincce it get my 3dm6 from just shy of 14k to over 15k

It seems also to related to the video driver since it's usually after a 3dM6 test and the susequent reboot give me an raid error followed by an unable to reset/load video driver BSD.

    Anyone else see this?
Any thoughts on cause and repair action?

It is possible it is a connector issue...which would require a mainboard replacement.

Oh, and screwing around with drives might raise your benchmarks and all...but the only thing that improves is your loading times. At the cost of data security. Not going to get you more FPS, and not worth it.

The HDD is the slowest component in most systems,if not all.
As Gresg said, maybe RAID 0 boosts load times , read/write speeds etc, but if 1 drive fails, all data is lost.
That's why it's recommended to use RAID 1 for maximum safety and a small increase in read speeds.

Also, for your issue, it's best calling your supplier and not tampering yourself with the connectors unless you are absolutely sure you know what you're doing.

The connector and it's pin are so small, you can do anything with them, except maybe reseat cables, which I have done to no avail.
The pcb is multilayer, so forget any tampering, it's just asking for trouble.

You could also void the warranty if you break even the smallest part inside.
Remember , this is what the warranty is for.
