The PM55 chipset only supports 8GBs. At 1333mhz.

Sadly we do already have a dated machine.

    Thank you for your reply.
Today I contacted Eurocom and they said that the notebook is compatible with 8Gb RAM at 1600 Mhz at 1.35v for a maximum memory of 16 Gb.
Why did you tell me that is not compatible?

This is true. It's true with the M17x R2 users over on the Alienware section. Those people are crazy though... >.>

And why do you think the Eurocom would have told me that the upgrade is possible?
Have you tried with the rams low voltage @1.35v? Those from 1.5v do not work!!

maybe u need specific ram sticks from one manufacturer, some machines are just a little bi tch y when it comes to ram stick compatibility.

Eurocom wrote me that they use 1.35v Micron or Samsung per 8gb module.
I do not think they say something that is not true, but I do not understand why silentnite2608 had negative tests. You could bring the model of the ram you used?
    I think that they're doing these anyway DDR3L SO-DIMM 8GB 1600MHZ KVR16LS11/8 KINGSTON LOW VOLTAGE 1,35V SINGLE RANK.

You can get odd things happening when you outside of the spec of the machine, little differences can have an impact meaning that one module may work while another may not. It may be a memory timing or just the way the SPD presents itself.
