Hi im trying to find a good external CD/DVD burner that wont brake by just touching it. Also that it is below 50 dollars and has all of the DVD and CD formats don't really care for Blu-Ray. Second I need help with RAM for a P150EM that I already have, I need 8GB modules for 2 simple reasons 1- I don't wanna throw away any modules later to upgrade to 32GB RAM. 2- Where im working we pretty much freelance we do from normal sales to thing like Video editing and encoding for various commercials. So the RAM will come in handy when we need something done ASAP. I'm looking for a pair of 8GB modules of at least 1600Mhz speed i don't plan to overclock right now and maybe never will but yeah something that is compatible with the P150EM. This is all I'm missing to actually be able to turn my laptop on since its been in the box for a while because I haven't had much luck with these 2.

P.S - Please just answer my questions don't start saying things like RAM is RAM buy what ever is cheap because the prob is pretty much that i don't know what is compatible. And maybe there's some RAM modules that don't work specifically with this laptop and I don't know about it and well yeah...

P.P.S. - I edited the Post so people will stop complaining its a one long sentence I'm sorry i was posting using my phone it gets annoying to switch between letters and punctuation.

People here love helping, but this...
...is a very long sentence with zero punctuation and is hard to follow. Generally when you expect people to expend effort on you for free, you should expend a minimum on them too. :)

Anyway, from what I can tell you want a P150EM, but can't decide on bluray or just DVD, and you aren't sure about ram size and speeds.

    1) Optical drive. Get bluray if you want but after checking malibal's builder it will set you back an extra $80. Whether that's an acceptable price to pay to be able to watch bluray movies is your choice to make, not ours.

2a) Unless you are doing heavy heavy heavy virtualization (think VMware, virtualBox, and emulators all running at the same time) and video encoding all at once you will never go over 16GB of ram. If you are only going to game and surf, even 8 is fine. And even if you go over, there's always the page file which can still be acceptably quick if you have an SSD. My recommendation is 16 though because (again, according to malibal's builder page) $40 is worth the peace of mind.

2b) Between the slowest and fastest RAM, there's about a 6% performance difference in games, so up to you to decide if so little gain is worth the money.

I deciphered that to mean he was looking for suggestions on which external optical drive to buy, as well as what RAM to get.

No recommendation on external. I don't know that it matters that much, just go on Newegg and get one with good reviews in your price range. It'll be $100+ for a Blu-ray, half that for a good dvd drive..

For ram, what do you want to do? If you're set on having 8GB modules, you're lookin at ~$100 for 16gb. I haven't used 8Gb modules, so just go with a solid brand an you should be fine.. If you decide to go with 4GB sticks, go with Kingston Hyper X or the ADATA XPG..

well hizzaah the prob is my current place of work its pretty much a part time job at a computer handy man place. Lol i really don't know how to classify it anyways we do a lot of work with pictures and videos at least 45% of the time our jobs have one of these 2 involved. So yeah plus i don't wanna throw away modules later on... but yeah

Hizzaah has already given you pretty good advice. My external drive is a Samsung, my ram is Corsair vengeance. I'm happy with both. Just look at reviews on Amazon or newegg and get the most reliable. There isn't much difference between the major brands for what you want.

I have a P150EM with Ivy Bridge. I have 4 sticks of Corsair Vengeance running at 800Mhz. It was just plug and play.

I don't have any real recommendations for an external CD/DVD but just about any one of them manufactured today should cover all of your formats. Most laptop resellers offer an external optical drive or you can check out newegg.com or amazon.com, I believe they may have something.

Regarding memory, I would recommend sticking with PnP and steer away from the XMP memory as the Sager/Clevo BIOS does not allow overclocking of the memory.
How can you tell which is which? Well, Kingston was nice enough to list the PnP memory (grey heatsinks vs. blue) here Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Memory, Laptop Memory, Kingston HyperX, DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800), 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Others such as the Corsair Vengeance can be found in the comments Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model CMSX8GX3M2A1600C9 under details where it states "Auto-overclocking (no bios configuration required)"
