    Received my NP9150 a couple of days ago - What should I do?

    Are there any programs for monitoring that I should be having a look at?

    I've installed windows, drivers, etc. Checked the Device Manager to make sure what I paid for was what is in my machine.

    I'm not sure if there is anything else I should be doing.


    PS: Laptop is amazing thus far - huge step up from my 3~ year old M15x!

    install CPUZ, GPUZ, HWMonitor (to see temps) and HWINFO (too see all specs)

    also afterburner if you wanna have fun overclocking

    What did you get in your laptop?
    I just got my too recently. 8GB Ram, i73610qm, 750gb 7200, and gtx 680m.

    I am just looking for some good 2.0 speakers with built in subs.

    Install your preferred antivirus, games, other software. Yes, games were bolded for importance :D

    Besides everything else mentioned i can't think of anything else. Enjoy it, keep it clean, dust it out as often as you can and enjoy the power.

    I got the same specs as yours except got a free upgrade from 8gb to 16gb RAM. Also got the Intel 6300 wifi card upgrade as well as swapped out the optical drive for an empty HDD caddy.

    Speakers could definitely use a little work, but I mostly have my M30's plugged in for sound so its not a huge deal.

    Play Borderlands 2, Play Mass Effect 3 MP Co-Op and play Torchlight II. That's what I would do.

    And play those games on the toilet, while on mumble. Fart and someone ask, what are you doing? Say, I'm taking a dump on the toilet and laugh at the reaction.

    All the toilet suggestions are genius! I will get right on that when I get home from class today..It would be awkward to try it in one of the public bathrooms on campus I think.

    I am very poor right now so buying lots of games is not really an option :( ->BUT I am definitely considering getting borderlands 2 or Guild Wars 2. I also just bought battlefield 3 today on Origin for 10$!


    --> One thing I think is a design flaw of the keyboard layout is definitely having the power button directly above the ESC key, and having the Sleep button right next to the volume button(s)..I have yet to hit the wrong key, but I'm sure its not far off :p
