The standard is ok, but what do most of the people here choose? I was thinking 2 years parts + labor.

if you are going to take care of your system, it would easily last 3+ years.

if you feel like you might not be as attentive, then getting the extended warranty would be recommended.

also, you should look towards www.safeware.com to help cover the notebook through a accidental warranty, which the Sager [as well as most other brands] warranty does not cover.

I'd give it TLC, no doubt about that, as the money dropped on the son of a gun would require me to. It'd probably look better than my car after awhile. But at the same time, anything can happen and the few extra dollars could be worth it.

But its nice to have a safety net to fall on. :)

I have been very good to my notebook, and its been 2.5 years, and its still near mint. :)

I would recommend to get a accidental warranty, either through safeware or through your own home/rental insurance (which would cover any theft or accidental damage).
