I just got my new sager laptop yesterday and it worked perfectly. This morning, I turn it on and there's a red light coming from one of the audio jacks and absolutely no sound whatsoever. I have experienced this same issue on my macbook before but cannot recall how I fixed it.

the red light is normal as i think its a optical in / speaker out plug.
no idea if the newer models are the same but i plug my front 2 speakers in the headphone jack.
the back 2 in the mic in / speaker out
sub and centre speakers in the optical in / speaker out

each time i plug in it auto opens realtec audio center and it lets you chose if you wan in or speaker out.

if thats not opening for you go to realtec and set it up.

Yes, the red light is normal as it is the optical port and not a regular headphone jack.

Double check and go through all the sound software (volume controls, playback options, realtek audio software) and make sure nothing is muted there. I know one thing I do from time to time is have a bluetooth headphones synced with my laptop and they were in my backpack, and the sound was basically going there. Not sure if you maybe tried out bluetooth when testing the system out, but just a thought.

Otherwise, try uninstalling the realtek software, see if that works, or maybe re-install it with the newest driver available.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new computer as well.

    1. Check audio levels/make sure nothing is muted
    2. Set your speakers as the default audio device (in "Playback devices") if they're not already
    3. Reinstall audio driver if neither of those work

Let us know how things play out for you from there.
