Hey everyone, i was just curious to know how to actually reformat my computer so that it is the way i first got the computer fresh out of the box.

I'm not sure if the CD they gave me is meant for a full recovery. It doesn't really do much when i put it in. It just asks me to install microsoft XP again but i dont want to do that because iv tryed that and pretty much installed it on my second hard drive :S.

What should i do and if anyone knows the steps to doing it. Please tell me.

    Thanks :)

By formatting you will delete everything on the computer. The CD you were provided is not a Full recovery, it is likely only a OS Install CD (XP or Vista)

    1. Insert the XP or Vista Install CD and boot your system to this CD
    2. Go through the Windows Install and Format your Hard Drives
    3. After Windows completes installation, put in your Driver CD and install your Drivers in the order as on the Driver CD. *You may want to load the video driver from nVIDIA or LaptopVideo2go.com so you have the most up to date video driver. Drivers can also be found on Sager's website if needed.
    4. Do Windows Updates and Install your Applications.

As Justin points out, you most likely cannot do that because in all likelihood, the disk you got is simply an OEM installation disk, and not some sort of a recovery disk (unless you know for sure that you actually paid to have a physical media recovery disk - named as such - provided to you along with your system).
