There is this small red no enter sign on the taskbar icon (the icon that looks like a laptop), not sure if thats really the design of the taskbar icon or if there is something wrong with the powerlife program itself?
heres a screenshot,

Right click the icon... then left click the power conservation modes that comes up. What does it say then. Is this what you are asking?

hi larry, im actually referring to the taskbar icon itself, if you can look at it closely there is this 'red no-enter' sign on the screen of the small laptop icon, im wondering what does that mean?

Hey
I'm pretty sure thats the "I can't connect to the service" icon for the hotkey system. Pretty sure an uninstall reboot reinstall reboot fill fix the one up. Or take a look to see if something is blocking the PowerBiosServer service from starting up (PowerBiosServer is the name of the exe not necessarily the name of the service)
Regarding the power life taskbar icon..
