Hey guys,
a week ago my Intel 320 SSD failed, and instead of going through Sager, Intel was forthcoming enough to replace it, very quickly I might add. Now I have the issue of reinstalling the OS...
Don't I need a Sager specific DVD? I was offered one by Sager, but I am in Europe for over a year still, so I can't get a hold of it. I'm hoping there is a download somewhere- is there, so that I can use the code at the bottom of my laptop? Thanks,
Franz

And yes, use the key you already own. -
This should get you Service Pack 1 as well.
You will still need to burn the ISO image to a disk in order to use it. If you need software for the ISO image burning, you could use http://download.cnet.com/CDBurnerXP/3000-2646_4-10409086.html It's free to download and use.
You still need to have the drivers & utilities disk that came with your laptop to make it easy. The disk isn't mandatory per say, but it beats having to go to the Sager website to download drivers individually THEN installing them.
If you don't have the drivers disk though, you can hit the Sager website for the drivers http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?page=driver_download2 -
I installed my old windows ultimate on my second disk, so I can burn just fine. Also, the drivers are now all an that second disk, so I'm good on that end, thank you! I'm curious, I have a boot usb stick, can i somehow use that for the ISO instead of a DVD?

think before you speak. awesome, thanks!

Ok I installed it and used my key, but sadly, im being told the key is invalid for activation. I used the download link from the second poster, Heihachi_1337.
Should I care that it cant activate? -
I used the microsoft usb tool and Ultimate x64 sp1 last night.

If it wont activate over the internet then it should give an option of telephone activation - that often works.

For future reference: see my sig!
^theriko is correct, if it won't activate via internet, then it's only a phone call away.
Otherwise, you may use Windows 7 for up to 120 days without activation. On the 29th day of each 30 day trial period, just use the rearm command. -

The key that came with your machine was most likely not a retail key. It was instead a one use System Builder/OEM key that was tied to the hardware. That's why you are having trouble reactivating. Phone reactivation may work though if you try it.
Reinstall Windows, how?
