Hi, after the hinge broke on my clevo p170sm-a I reinstalled it but there are still a few issues I would like to learn about.

First in the picture below just below the lcd corner, the plastic numb that sticks from the cover through the middle hole in the hinge is now broken off. I managed to epoxy the plastic piece that was holding the screw in on the right hand hole but the nub for the middle hole remains missing. I was wondering how important it was to repair this and how you'd recommend that I go about it?

Secondly the picture below the laptop looks okay when open however when closed the laptop top edge bends into kind of a smily face shape toward the hinges. This is true for both sides but the hinge backing for the left hinge (that I just replaced) juts out slightly more. I was wondering if anybody had any idea what the cause of this could be?

So long as the metal is sound, fully screwed in where it should be and the hinge action is smooth is will be mechanically sound.

However if you move it around a lot the plastic will continue to disintegrate by the looks of things.
