    Hi guys

I finally got a replacement AC ADAPTOR for my Clevo DC901.

Its a different brand of ac adaptor, Liteon, but thats not my major concern.

Now the adaptor that comes with the clevo can output 220 Watt.
The liteon i received can output 150.

The original adaptor has 3Amps input, but this new replacement only have 2.5.

The rest of the stuff is the same. Plugs are the same aswell.

Will this be able to run it? Will it damage the battery?

where did you get it from?

What output voltage/current does it supply?

Actually, I got home now and plugged it in. Its running fine. Cant seem to see any problems.
Voltage is the same as the other one.
The amps is a bit different.
Old one is 11 out, this one is 8.

This PSU is not for Clevo D901C it has to be with 20 voltage output 11A = 220W
Well if you have only one card maybe it will work but you should have to get 220W

I know it is not the correct one.
My question was if this was ok to use until i would get a correct one.
The reseller has gone bankrupt or dissapeared, so cant contact them.

One volt difference should not affect notebook operation (5 % lower), however the amp rating may affect future upgrades or possibly situations where intensive GPU or CPU activity is occurring. I would say it is okay to use this power supply temporarily until you can get an original replacement from Sager. Just be careful about overloading it (avoid prolonged graphics intensive or CPU intensive activities) or at least check the power brick temperature from time to time when doing these operations.

You would definitely have a problem with the one you're currently using, well at least that happened to me with my M860TU. The M860TU is rated 120W (20V, 6A) but PCMW gave me a 90W adaptor (19V, 4.74A) which made the video card downclock when it is being used by an intensive game (even with the AC adaptor plugged in). I called them and they've replaced my PSU and bam the problem went off instantly.

Please use a PSU with the same output rating as the original PSU that comes with your laptop.
