I have a Clevo P151HM1 based laptop bought from my local reseller here in Greece named plaisio. Long story short, my screen broke from an accident that is my own fault and warranty won't pay for a replacement screen and their prices are outrageous. So, I've decided to order a suitable screen and replace it my own. So my question is simple, which screen do I take so that is compatible.

After some research I found this Amazon.com: AU OPTRONICS B156HW01 V.7 LAPTOP LCD SCREEN 15.6" Full-HD LED DIODE (SUBSTITUTE REPLACEMENT LCD SCREEN ONLY. NOT A LAPTOP ): Electronics in amazon and I'm thinking of ordering, but with these v versions I got a little confused. Is this exact product going to suit me? Are there any other options that I should consider?

    Thank you.

v refers to the version, as you know. V7, as far as I know, is the 95% gamut MATTE screen...I'm really not good with screens, so someone should pipe in.

I think that no matter what V you choose, it will be a good choice (provided it comes from a reputable seller).

It's from AUO which is supposedly a solid choice. What confused me is that all versions from 0 to 7 have almost the same price, while I thought that v7 would be more costly than v1 for example.

By the way we have a very similar system. So....how much do you sell your screen?

    Edit: Nice review btw.

V7 is the 95% gamut glossy, V4 is the 95% gamut matte. Amazon.com: AUO 15.6" B156HW01 V.7 1A Left Connect HD Laptop LCD Panel: Electronics
    "AUO 15.6" B156HW01 V.7 1A Left Connect Laptop LCD Screen HD 1920 x 1080 LED Glossy"

And $80 for this screen is incredibly cheap, normally it sells for $120-150.
Looking at the reviews for version 4: Amazon.com: AU OPTRONICS B156HW01 V.4 LAPTOP LCD SCREEN 15.6" Full-HD LED DIODE (SUBSTITUTE REPLACEMENT LCD SCREEN ONLY. NOT A LAPTOP ) (LP156WF1): Electronics
So it seems like, while this screen would be compatible with the p151hm, it might not actually be one of the 95% gamut screens.

I would just look at the reseller ratings and reviews to make sure you are actually getting what you are ordering. I know that there are also resellers on ebay who sell this screen. If people/customers say that the screen is compatible with the dell xps15 or thinkpad w520, then it will also be compatible with the p150/151hm.
