Hello so my Laptop's keyboard is messed up and decided to replace it with a new one. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find a guide on how to remove my Laptop's Keyboard. Does anyone know how to remove the keyboard for the Sager NP8173?
EDIT: In case someone wishes to know my reason for replacing it, my "w" key seems to be stuck after letting go. Tested on notepad and holding the w key for at least 5 or 10 seconds and the "w" continues holding for like 2.5 seconds.

So basically I remove those 2 screws from the bottom and poke it out from the bottom? it feels like I am going to pierce my keyboard doing that. Also the Laptop seems to be a bit different than mine, but I'm assuming its the same method?

Yes, @Danishblunt is correct, you push it out from the bottom. I wouldn't bother taking the whole case off though, on the 670 there are the two screws and the third hole that you actually use to push the keyboard out, with the rest of the panel staying on. They should all be labeled.

Just be gentle removing the cap so as not to break any clips.

Also if you want to repair the w key, use isopropylalcohol 99%, clean the key, rubber and the keyboard (obviously with no power in the keyboard), then put it all together and u got a normal keyboard again. -
also, thx for your help so far, I'm learning more about my laptop as I go -

Try and reassemble it, it may function and if not then you might find a replacement dome.

an update...so it appears my replacement is gonna take a while to arrive..in the meantime i decided to see if i can remove my keyboard...took some strength but i manage to remove it. i saw 3 ribbon cables and they were easy to remove thank goodness...now i regret it. After carefully plugging back the ribbon cables carefully i notice something unusual. My keys now type the wrong letters, numbers, symbols, or nothing at all. I also checked carefully if the cables are placed well but they look exactly as the before and after pics i took before removing them (its a way for me to see if im doing things right) is there something i did wrong?
UPDATE: I manage to just restart my pc and its normal. Guess im ready to replace it when the keyboard arrives.Last edited: Nov 2, 2018 -

Sounds like some static charge built up.

That'll happen sometimes, as you mentioned it usually goes away after a reboot or two.
