Heya guys, I have been looking around and searching before posting, I have decided to replace my damaged cracked LCD panel :( (don't throw sharp objects near the laptop...)
with one of the panels on this site that sells LCD panels for laptop.
    http://www.smartmicrousa.com/contact-us.aspx

I also looked at soviet's posts and from what he said, the TLB2 seems to be the standard LCD panels for all NP5797. I decided to order that same one and arrived today :D

the problem is trying to opening the laptop panel and taking out the broken one..
I tried unscrewing all the screws around the front of the panel, 4 on top and 3 on the bottom. I tried the usual way of starting from the bezel. but I can't seem to remove the bottom corners of the Bezel, it feels like something is not letting it loose and if i try to pull using a bit more force it feels like im going to break it.

Is there an instruction guide on how to remove this panel specifically? any help or guide would be nice (looks at soviet.) ;)

After you remove the seven screws that are under the rubber feet, run your fingernail inbetween the bezel starting with the top where the camera is and make your way around. The area near the hinges needs a little bit more fingernail power to unsnap the bezel, so don't be afraid to use a bit more force.

If you need more help, I'll be on later tonight. This week is my busy week.

    that was fast thanks :D

I got the top middle and bottom middle loosened, the corners are a bit hard but ill try to use a bit more force. what about the locking on top of the laptop? just leave them as it is? unlocked?

lol nvm i think i got the whole top part loosened now, finger nails ftw. too bad i cut them earlier LOL

Yes, you can leave them locked or unlocked. When you take the face bezel off, you will find yourself pushing the lock to the side so it can fit through the hole. It should be fairly straightforward.

thanks alot, when i got it opened, i unscrewed the ones that looked like it was attached to the panel, such as the side of the panel has 3 screws.
that's the plate thingy that makes the laptop panel swivel.

can you explain what to unscrew and what not to? such as don't touch this and don't touch that,
it seems there's a lot of pieces on this one, and having the case attached to the bracket to the panel is annoying. basically screwing back 3 layers..

The panel is held down by three screws each on the left and right side, and even more screws on the top and bottom of the panel. If you can take a good quality picture of it, I can help you when I get back tonight.
