I had already posted this query in this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo/577492-subwoofer-p150hm-not-working.html but i am making a separate thread to obtain a wider response. (Hope this is okay)

    1. I keep hearing a high-pitch squealing noise when I use the headphones with the 8150, when nothing is playing on it. The headphones themselves are just fine because there is no noise when used with my mp3 players.

2.The noise is like what is produced when you take a cold bottle of soda and leave the cap slightly open.

3.Increasing/decreasing the volume makes no difference to the strength of the squealing noise. Even when on mute, the noise persists.

    Questions:
    A. Are others experiencing this?
    B. What do you think is the source? (Looks like bad shielding/design to me)

EDIT: I found out that happens only when using the USB port right next to the headphone jack.

I don't have any noise on my NP8130. Perhaps your GTX 485M and the higher power requirements are causing some kind of EM interference or toroidal buzzing in your system.

I don't here anything from the headphone jack on my NP8150 although the GTX 485 itself often squeals.
