I live in Vancouver, Canada, and I was considering xoticpc, but they are an American company, meaning I'd have to ship it across the border. I don't want to pay exorbitant duty fees, so I was wondering if it'd be worth it to take a different reseller.

Also, is the 1920x1080 matte 95% NTSC screen worth the 210$?

Screen upgrades depend entirely on your usage. The models with higher % color gamut tend to reproduce colors more accurately, which makes them preferable for those that use their machines for media or image design work (among others) where reproduction is important. For most consumers, it's a question of whether the jump in screen quality justifies the cost. Most laptop screens out there range from between 30% up to 95%, with a majority settling somewhere in the middle.

    Thanks for the help!

I looked at some comparison pictures, and the difference between the screens wasn't noticeable enough to warrant purchase.

And thank you for the thread NovaH. Very useful.

You wont have to worry about duty fees as notebooks dont get charged duties. You just pay for the price of the notebook and shipping cost. When the computer is delivered you do have to pay any taxes dues at that time (PST,GST,HST) Also if you're not familiar with UPS brokerage fees its something else to look into. When you use UPS Canada ground they will charge you these fees which average $80-100, if you go with UPS Canada Express Brokerage fees are included in the shipping cost so you dont have to anything besides taxes at the time of delivery.
