    Hi,

Recently whenever I Restart my system my screen resolution changes to 1024x768 (From 1680x1050) and all my icons are jumbled re-arranged on my desktop.

Its not a huge deal because I can just change the resolution and move my icons back but its sort of annoying / inconvienient.

    Any idea's?

Using 186.03 and this just started happening within the last 2-3 weeks.

Go to control panel and use the Nvidia program to set your screen resolution

same thing started happening to me in last few weeks as well.
i found it always done it after the night before playing steams counter strike source.
think it happens to a few games from steam.
i dont play any steam games the night before and its fine the next day.
its like the resolution is sticking and staying in the memory until the next day for some reason.

It could be that your game resizes your screen and was improperly exited?

This happens to me when i turn on the computer from sleep. I do have the latest driver (and did reinstall), so not sure what the problem is.

have you been playing a game on disc the night before then?
it seems a few games seem to keep the resolution locked somehow. i know after a power off it should revert back to default but for some reason it doesnt but as i said only on a very few games.
this might be something totally different to your problem so maybe contact your OEM for advice.

Been noticing some strange issues with nvidia drivers lately. I've had to manually adjust the registry for 186.81, so that it downclocks the gpu normally. Some other drivers won't use the proper resolutions when I plug into my lcd tv.

To OP, got the same problem with any game that forces a screen resolution change - usually it's the older games that are running under compatibility mode. Screen will resize back to that game's resolution when the compute restarts. Deff has to do with nvidia's new drivers (I'm using 186.81) and possibly all the 186.xx though I haven't checked yet.

No idea of a solution :) Just another of those problems where clevo/sager doesn't like any new nvidia driver beyond 17x.xx !
