So today i planned to start a project which is renewing my Sager NP8180 and making it young again Highlights of the project are:
1-New Chassis/Barebone (Hopefully i will get this from either Sager/Clevo or one of the Re-sellers)
2-Searching for better heat sinks for the beast (GPU/CPU)
3-Upgrading the CPU from 2860qm to 2960xm and overclock it
    4-Upgrading the ram from 12GB 1600mhz to 16GB 2133mhz
    5-Upgrading the GPUs from 2x6990m to 2x780m
    6-Add an SSD
7-Weld some Copper thermal pads to the heat sinks instead of the normal thermal pads
8-Upgrading the fans to better fans
9-Finding the impossible (Upgraded panel for this 18.4 inch monster)
    Options:
10-Removing that annoying plastic cover that protects the Panel (Part of the Case/
    Chassis)

Most of the things i want to do are near impossible but i am welling to work as hard as possible to get these things done, So please if you know where can i find the parts and any tips on how to start on this project

I'd like to know roughly what price point you get to once you source all those parts. 2x780M are going to run you quite a bit. Just curious if it will be worth upgrading your NP8180 or just going for a new computer. Looking over the items you plan on getting I ball park over 2K just for the 2x 780M and CPU.

The GTX780M mostly won't work on this system, it doesn't on any other HM series. GTX680M is the biggest card and only if you purchase them with vBIOS v80.04.29.00.01

Though saying that they can be a lot cheaper and offer a large chunk of the performance so might be the better option anyway.
