Has anyone else had this problem? My mic is practically not picking up anything I say, other people can hear but in a really low volume. I went to the control panel and it fully recognizes when I tap the pc or click the mouse pad, but if I talk it will not. Any help?

Do you have a custom skin? I have seen where others had the microphone convered up by the skin. They needed to poke a hole where the microphone was. Just a thought.

No custom skin here, where exactly is the microphone connected?

My mic is quite high. Try the boost setting as recommended above. Mine was loud enough without enabling the boost that I can comfortably talk while seated normally however.

Should be a +20 db setting for your microphone.

Located in different places on the OS depending on which sound chip/driver your laptop has.

20db will make it 100 times louder!

I don't know what the hell is wrong, it's set at 30db. I've checked everything and everything is at max. Any other tips?
