I'm inches away from purchasing a loaded NP9150 but I'm really worried about the laptop sound with headphones? I would consider myself an audiophile, and although I do own a sound card, I do not want the audio to suck when I am on the move and cannot utilize my Sound Blaster. Is there any definitive way of fixing/reformatting it? Thanks.

Sound blasters fine, although I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile I enjoy FLAC from time to time and they sound completely fine.

Get a USB soundcard, they can be transported on your thumbdrive and I think they sound better than any headphone output on any laptop.

The short answer is no. It is a hardware limitation.

The audio is decent, but if you are a stickler for the best audio you might want to get an external sound card.

People showed me the Asus Xonar U3 when I asked about improving headphone audio quality. It's pretty small and doesn't cost that much in the scheme of things.
