:D just bought one of those too :D

You should know, they are Lenovo cards, HP are more common in Clevos. But I already have 1 Lenovo card that works 100% in mine.
We'll just have to see if these are any different...

The discription of the card is, "NEW-OEM -Product has never been used. Original OEM accessories may or may not be included (see auction copy for details). Product may be received bulk from OEM, and may or may not be in original box.

So are these brand new cards and if not does it really matter what notebook, i.e. lenovo etc. they came out of ?

It's not what laptop they came out of, it's who manufactured them and whos vbios is on them. NVidia provide the reference design but do not manufacture the cards themselves.

About to jump on a 3700m, mainly as a backup for my current 9800gts.

Was doing a little research on the 3700m and from what I've seen, the 9800gts is a faster card, as far as benchmarks.

Are there any benefits, I'm missing to the 3700m and is it at least comparable to the 9800gts?

The difference is that 3700m has 128 pipelines and the 9800m GTS has only 64. Because of this it will create more heat but can still be run at the same 600/1500mhz clocks of the 9800m gts and be much more powerful.
    :)
