    Can someone explain the Rush production option that's available. If a potential buyer agrees to add Rush Production as well as a screen upgrade, isn't the screen upgrade considered part of the build production of the notebook? Thoughts?

    Rush production means they will build and ship your laptop withing usually 1-3 business days if all components are available in the stock (they just give you priority in the build queue).

    Screen upgrade is just part of your configuration (same as you select specific processor or RAM size)

    Screen update would be part of the configuration - however a requirement for accepting your order as a rush is that everything must be in stock. If you ran into a situation where the screen (or some other part) was on backorder, they wouldn't be able to do the rush (and would presumably remove that cost from your order).
