The answer your first 3 questions yes, excellent and very likely though not guaranteed. Answer to no.4 is the 15" is more portable and has more screen options. Of course the 17" is bigger but at this time screen options are limited. The 17" should dissipate heat a little better since it's bigger but that is the only difference, besides 3g/LTE capable on 15".

Just want to put my two cents because I LITERALLY was going to consider the MSI Stealth Pro just like you and went with the Sager in the end.

From having experience with my first Sager for about 4 months now after using Asus and Toshiba laptops for years. I can truly vouch that they are indeed my favorite laptop company bar none. For the price you get it's amazing.

One thing you will find out is that these laptops are built so it is easy to access the motherboard, which blew my mind - being a desktop junkie at heart! So even if something under the hood goes awry, it is a quick fix solution.

You can also save yourself a few bucks if you're willing to just buy a new screen. I've never had an MSI laptop, but when I was looking for mine I didn't see much of a difference between performance between the MSIs and Sagers of similar specs, perhaps they're more expensive because they throw in a better screen. Who knows. Either way though it's not worth the investment when you can save yourself 100-200 bucks and replace the screen yourself. I should add that most sagers have a snap-on cover for their monitors to allow you to easily replace the screen and takes like 15 minutes! HTWingNut also made an excellent tutorial that I followed on this (mind you I NEVER replaced a laptop screen before) that worked beautifully! A few screws, some tape, and you're golden.

Onkyo speakers are indeed amazing, best laptop speakers I've heard besides some Harmon/Kardons that my Toshiba had. No comment on the tin can approach from ASUS.

I purchased mine from Xotic PC BECAUSE of their excellent customer service! They actually have phone, email, and chat support. I tried their chat support and it was very good. They are also located in the United States (Nebraska), which means that if you are also in the US, shipping is reliable and fast. Got mine a day early and I live in the east coast!

Removable GPUs. Not sure if I know too much about that in terms of updatability but it makes sense. I would rather buy something that has removable parts than glued together, even if it's just for the sake of easier replacement. Just my opinion.

I got a 15.6 in. It depends on your preference. As pukemon mentioned the 17" has extra surface area, which means that it will get hotter a little slower, but a 2 inch difference seems negligible in my opinion. If you can afford the bigger one and size matters to you, go big or go home!

Overall XOTIC PC have been providing me with excellent service so I can't recommend them enough. Hope this helps!

P.S. Add that extra RAM and save the hassle of installing one in the long run (even though it really isn't that hard to do!)

Thanks for the great recommendation Xavvy!

I think you got most of the questions answered.

I will add the NP8672 does not have a MXM socket so the GPU can not be upgraded later. It is integrated onto the motherboard. Some Sager models do have a MXM socket though. The similar models which do are the NP8278/8298. The easiest way to tell this is if the configuration page has GPU options. You'll see the NP8672 only has 1 option.

You mentioned April for the delivery date. I would suggest contacting one of our sales guys before you place the order so we can arrange this properly for you.

For our payments I dont want to get into it too much on the open forum, but you are welcome to PM me for me details.
But what I can let you know is that we only accept US Paypal and only ship to the address provided with the payment so that wont work for you. For cards we only accept US/Canada cards and also only ship to an address that is on file with the bank so that wont be an option. For international orders bank wire transfer is our preferred payment method. You could work something out with your mom or the people she is staying with and have them pay and you pay them back. You can PM me on other payment ides. I can also let you know about shipping options.

It is nice that she will be here for a month, that should be plenty of time to figure out delivery options.

It is true the US has great prices on electronics. We often hear its still cheaper once you figure duties, taxes, shipping etc then buying locally.

I don't want to rain on the parade but if you get any failures etc, getting a Clevo repaired might be more problematic if not expensive.. It would be a safer option to get a Asus G751 or MSI GT72.. Just throwing this out there..

If you still had a US based account as far
We actually do international orders all the time. Sad thing is though that a large amount of international orders are fraudulent. Sad to say it but that is typically the case when we have them come through. In the event fraud happens to slip by, by the time we are notified of it the computer is long gone and shipped overseas, unlikely to be seen again. As a result strict payment policies exist for international orders and wire is the safest way of doing so other than just not accepting them in the first place like most places.

I purchased a Samsung IPS High-Gamut screen 1080p Matte LTN156HL01. Works great! You may have to do some research and see what screens are compatible with your model though, but so far Samsung has been good to me in terms of monitor quality.

A good option is a "Bank Wire Transfer" as Hutslady mentioned. A Bank Wire Transfer cannot be faked and it qualifies for the 3% discount which goes for "cash" payments. So you can simply do that. It's not really a hassle either, except for the fact that you need to go into the bank to do it. I suggest calling the bank first to find out what you would need to bring to do that transfer, however (like how many forms of ID, etc).

Next, the model with socketed CPU and GPU is the P15xSM-A and P17xSM-A. They also have socketed CPUs. If you're hunting for a 17"er, I'd recommend the P17xSM-A models first. The P177SM-A is flashier and the P170SM-A is fairly sleek and business-like in its looks. If purchasing the P170SM-A, the NP-8278-S is available to you, with some discounts on the parts. $1600 can go quite far.

Also, you'll get the higher vRAM cards too. So enjoy that =D.

Hehe, Hutslady. Love it when people call him that. Back on topic though. Yeah Bank Wire is pretty easy, just up to your bank to make difficult or not. I know Wells Fargo (The predominant bank in NE) that they require you to go into a branch to do as opposed to a lot of others that allow doing online or over the phone.

Trust me, once you go Sager you never go back. I'm sure you'll be happy with the purchase. They've always won on price / performance and finally we have a nice looking chassis design with the recent models. Welcome to the club :)

So the Sager NP8672 (Clevo P670SG)? Even though its a 4GB vRAM card keep in mind most desktop GTX 980 are also 4GB so it should still last you quite a while.

I did not mean for that to come across as its not much, because it is. You should get a 980M 4GB over a 970M 6GB as a more powerful GPU (980M) with less RAM will outperform a slower one (970M) with more RAM.
