    Hey guys,

I have a question about a replacement battery for the Sager Part NP2098 (Comapl KHLB2). The replacement battery specifically for this laptop is sold on the company website for $105, but from what I've gathered through a little research, there are other CHEAPER batteries out there that are compatible. I know this may sound specific but my question is: does a battery that is compatible with the MSI part 957-14XXXP-107 compatible with the Sager NP2098? The reason why I ask this is because of what I saw on someone's Amazon review on another MSI replacement battery that can be seen here: Amazon.com: SlackerInside's review of

    Thanks for your help.

If the battery is actually made for that specific Compal chassis, then it should work.
Compal did make shells for more than just Sager for only a select few years.

You should be fine with that battery.

So I bought a battery with MSI party 957-14XXXP-107 and just got it. I inserted into my SAGER NP2098 and it fits, but the light under the "battery charging icon" flashes orange. I am afraid to turn it on because I'm not sure what will happen. Does anybody have any recommendations or information as to what to do?

normally flashing orange means battery reached criticcal low power status. plug in the mains to see if it starts charging.
