    Hello all
Well i want to buy this beast with this config:
    Q9450(or maybe the Q9550)
    2x8800MGTX
    320GB HDD
    4GB RAM

(actually my uncle will bring it from UK for me) but i have some questions:

1_My main work is Photoshop(lots of it),gaming(again lots of it),and other normal things, shall i go for this SAGER or shall i go for XPS M1730 instead(it has the same specs but the CPU is X9000)

2_My main concern is about the sound quality, how does it stack up for example against ASUS M70(which has a very good sound quality) ?

    thanx

Sound quality I don't know about; however, I think that it is probably about average for laptops in general.

I would go with the Quad-core Sager over the dual-core _Dell because photoshop will most likely do better on the quad than on the dual - I believe a lot of the serious graphics software has the capability to take advantage of as many cores as you can throw at it, so you should get full use out of the four cores on the quad, and hence more work accomplished more quickly (sorry for the grammar, I'm still a little sleepy).

P.S., I'm glad to see that you were able to work out a way to get one - if I recall correctly, you were posting here a few months ago regarding the difficulties of getting one shipped to you.

the sound of this beast is very good with support 8.1 have much better cooling system than XPS M1730 (Long Life) and you can upgrade it CPU GPU all you want M1730 is not upgradeable when 9800M GTX comes you can upgrade and you can almost put all cpu that you want in it

@GanGstaOne - You are stating that you will be able to upgrade to the 9800M GTX as a fact when it is simply speculation - no matter how much you or anyone believes that it will be possible, it is still only speculation. Please do not state it as fact unless you have proof of it.

theriko you are right but this laptop is made to be upgradeable this is best quality that have and you can see what happen with new quads & 8800M GTX right and i'm sure that we can upgrade to 9800M GTX but we will speak again when the card is out

Let me also toss my vote in favor of Sager. I feel that even if you were looking at two laptops of identical quality, Sager is the more reliable choice. Factor in the advantage of the quad core over the duo, and your choice becomes even simpler. As for the sound, the speakers on my 5793 are the best I've ever heard on a laptop. I bet it's safe to assume that the 9262 (which has an even larger subwoofer, yes?), will also sound great.

Having them here side by side, I would say the 926x outperforms the 5793. Maybe that's because it has four speakers?

But if you really need good sound you must get yourself a good headphone or external speakers.

Yes it can output S-Video, DVI, and even HDMI (using an inexpensive DVI-HDMI adapter)

That's exactly what I'm getting myself (see sig).
I chose the D901C (9262) because of the upgradeability possibility... The 1730 doesn't have even the possibility.

And well, the 1730 is too flashy for my tastes.
I have never seen both notebooks side by side, but I read that the 9262 is more rugged and heavy-duty, and that its sound is superior to laptop quality sound.
