    Who is telling you that Sager is cheaper than the other boys? I don't see that being said, just superior build quality and technical support... which you can't put a price on.

    worst two things...bad flex in the keyboard and it took (on low settings) 13 seconds to load my option screen when playing Crysis. Now I know that may not sound like much but I'm upgrading my notebook to play Crysis and the Witcher, so it was a huge issue to me. I just felt like it was going to break.

    It was quite and looked nice, but I had no fath in the build quality. I'm sure if you go over to the hp forum you'll get a lot of positive feedback on it.

    I've had 4 HP notebooks and the dv9700t is a down grade from the dv9500t and I was not impressed going from my zd8000 to the dv9500t. Oh and if you get a HP anyway get the Blu-ray drive over the HD drive as it plays HDs too. But I would not spend over $900 for it.

    the difference is say similiar to:

    should I rent wildhogs(hp) or the big lebowsk( SAGER/clevo). Both have their moments, and one can be found at the walmart bin for 9$, but what you are missing is drastically different. :D

    from what I know and i have checked intensively through numerous online vendors, Hp, compaq, toshiba, sony, and even the lesser used ones like alien ware, sager, pro star... trust me i checked all of the options before going with Sager...

    i went with sager because;
    1. price - for what you get, you are not overpaying, and for what other companies give you compared to what sager gives you, its a hell of a deal

    2. tecnhology - sager has some technologies in their laptops, like Raid setups and quad core processors that these big name brands aren't even close to putting in their laptops...(geforce 8800m gtx, not just some old geforce 8700 512)

    i really wanted to buy a Dell... but i compared it with Sager and seen that i get a lot more from a Sager, not to count the fact that sager has a motherboard that lets you upgrade in the future... in my case i got 1 8800 gtx but i might want to get another 1 in da future... I CAN!.... or add another hard drive whenever i want 2... or upgrade the processor....

    sooo go with your cheap HP coupon... they need coupons to sell those things anyways....

    i have used Sony vaios, hp's, compaq's most of my life... and it just doesn't compare to a custom Sager setup....

    that's my 2 cents

    Sony's are crap, too; if you won't take my word for it, just go read some of the whinging in the Sony forum.

    More likely than not, HP is just trying to offload stuff by remaindering it, and I think most of us know what it means when a retailer has to remainder stuff.
