So as mentioned in title, i want to know if i can do a Sli with a 4 and 8gb gtx980m.
Someone locally sell a gtx980m 4gb from alienware for a very good price.
So i want to know if someone know if it will work. And also if gtx980m 4gb exist really in mxm... he told output from an alienware 18.

SLI can technically work but the 8GB card would act as a 4GB one. As for the existence of an MXM 4GB 980M, I have not seen one but it could exist.

It's an Alienware card, and you have a Clevo machine? Is there any confirmation that the card will work due to that?

The vRAM concern should not be an inhibiting factor for SLI to function.

I don't think I have seen a 4gb MXM Clevo card either, you might want to check where that one card came from.

Also note that the Vram would mean that you can't swap a vbios from an 8GB card meaning you would be very limited on that front.

You are far safer matching cards, though on the desktop you certainly can mix ram amounts, nvidia do not lock that difference out in the drivers at least.
