    ------SOLVED-------

I installed prema's bios. All went well. I go to boot into windows and I'm presented with this lovely screen...
I'm totally unfamiliar dealing with this type of stuff. I can pull mine down to the guts and reassemble comfortably but this sort of thing goes over my head. Any ideas?

It's trying to boot from the network. Check the boot order.

When installing or updating any bios the first step after is to go into bios and 'load optimised defaults' and from there change what needs changing e.g. Uefi, boot order, passwords, etc

It may be trying to boot from network because storage isn't detected

    I

I ended up disabling all options but my ssd for boot orders. Got a slightly different message.

I had reset the bios settings but forgot UEFI (doh)

Thanks so much guys! I can feel my heart rate slowing down. I was worried I'd have to re-install. Not an issue from a data perspective but my recovery disc is a 5 hour drive away. In hindsight probably not the smartest idea but we're all good now

Having an off-site backup is not a bad thing, but you should also make sure to keep one in your house just in case your issue here did take a turn for the worse. Pick up a fireproof box/safe and put it in there if you're that worried about it.

Always READ the README and set BIOS back to Win 8 & UEFI modes after the flash IF you have been using those manual settings before. ;)

Yes spend a few seconds at least reading through all the material before diving into custom firmware :p
