hey guys... i recieved my np9150 a month ago with a 128gb ssd drive and a 750 hd, i removed the caddy. Anywho, everything i seem to download and install goes straight to the ssd, i now have 7gb available on it and its making my whole computer run a bit slow, what should i do? the initial idea was to use the ssd for windows and 2-3 games and the adobe master collection, which isn't that big..

so for instance my library with documents, music, images are all on the ssd and i can't seem to find a way to get them over to the other hardrive...

    Please help!

    thanks so much:thumbsup:

easy... uninstall everything that you don't want on the ssd and reinstall them(if necessary using "CUSTOM" settings) so that you can change the installation location. All programs and games install by default to C:\program files - change that to your 750gb hd partition/drive, in other words your D: drive or whatever Windows shows your hdd as. The process is not automated and you can't move the programs - you have to reinstall them. If it's too complicated, you should probably remove the ssd from the equation and reinstall everything on the 750gb hdd.

yes just set the download location for your download programs to the 750gb disk instead of putting all at the C:\ downloads location. I have a 120gb ssd as well, and only use it to install my programs and 1 or 2 games. then there is plenty of room left on it.

Yes each program will let you choose during the installation process, your drive should trim and recover after the files are removed.

I understand, but for example, windows is installed on the ssd, so with it came all the Libraries, how do i transfer those to the other hd? It's not much on the uninstalling part because that is quite obvious, its more on the documents folders, and where the downloads get redirected to. For example i click save, and it automatically saves it to my download folder which is on the ssd. Sorry if it seems so obivous...
thanks again to all of you!

Edit: i also just noticed i have two program file folders, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit. is this normal? i have the adobe suite installed in both occupying double the amount of space.
Then i acess another folder called users, which is around 45gb in size with all my documents, including the desktop.

Ín all browsers you can change the download location. You do not need to move the libraries.
And yes. It is completely normal to have a 32-bit and a 64 bit-folder. You have two folders because you have a 64-bit version of Windows. 64-bit programs can, inter alia, use more RAM than 32 bit programs. However, some programs are not compatible with 64-bit, and therefore it creates a seperate folder for those programs.
