this is my my first time with an SSD and also with Win 7 and i'm noticing repetitive drive activity - my drive activity indicator is flashing about every second - driving me nutz!

the resource monitor is indicating mostly write activity on my system and secondary drives from the svchost and system processes, but this doesn't tell me much.

i have indexing (windows search) disabled and task scheduler doesn't seem to be responsible.

so i'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with this?
    is this typical of 7?
might it have something to do with SSD's?
