Has anybody ever gotten burned by not having purchased the 2 or 3 year warranty?

Another question. Has anybody gotten burned by having the extended warranty but the system was not covered under the terms?

i always advise to upgrade to the 3 year warranty.
3 years ago i bought a m860tu which is still going strong. in march this year my 9800GT graphics card died and it was replaced the same day covered by warranty. without the extended warranty it would have cost me anything upto £300
if you search on here there are hundreds of failed 8800/9800 graphics cards and the owners didnt take out the extra warranty.
ill let you do the maths .

if you did take out the extra warranty and you played about with cpu/gpu or even overclocked then you take the risk of a failure not being covered.

    NVIDIA's fault; not Sager's.

Go for the warranty. Its $150 and first repair needed will pay for it for the most part.

GPU, Mobo and CPU cost the most. Any one of them goes and it pays for itself. HDD, MEM we all know are under $100 so even still if thats all that died in 3 years was a HDD it was only a partial waste.

Most of all, its PIECE OF MIND.

TBH I am on a new laptop, first one bad GPU, was replace but entire system DOA, sager sent me this one. This one has issues and now sager is going to build me an entire new order because of the way things got handled and this is from someone higher up than what the resellers deal with.

What I am saying is most companies after they got your money don't care. Sager, I had issues with but they are going well above at taking care of me now and that said I HIGHLY recommend getting a warranty if they are the provider. While my first interaction with them sucked, the ending will be happy and all companies have a few bad spills with customers. What counts is what happens at the end.
