HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!
-
Try running memtest86 and see if there are any memory issues.
-
I would also suspect either memory or the disk
for memory, in vista, go to control panel -> admin tools -> memory diagnostic tool
this will reboot your computer and perform a memory check
------------------------------------------------------------
for the drives, instead of memory diagnostics go to -> computer management,
then Storage -> Disk Management;
right click on your C: partition, select properties, go to the tab TOOLS.
Here you have an option to check the volume for errors.
There are lots of other tools available, but this is a first cut using the Vista supplied utilities -
no memory errors. Disk one i tried running before . It says it has to do it next time computer retstarts and i restarted nothing happened. I think there might be a registry problem in windows.
-----
Or this when the harddisk = over worked? it crashes... ??? yeah im not sure i just dont want it to be hardware problem since its pretty new laptop etc and really dont want to ship it to sager... will cost a fortune :S
-----
no errors on harddrive either.
- should i use 3rd party tools to confirm if there are hdd/memory problems?
---
another edit
right now im running ad-aware se, jv16 disk cleaner. Going to run panda antivirus 2008 and then spybot search and destroy. -
Okay, anyone know whats going on ? I think the kernel files are messed up so to fix that i might have do a clean install :S
-
okay so i did a clean wipe to partitiion c (windows). reinstalled windows updated my stuff... Went to install company of heroes and it installed fine.. Now the real test getting tf 2 work again .... So i went to my d drive where steam is located and double clicked steam.. and it opened up so i was like sweet and my stuff was still there. tf 2 was still installed so i double click tf 2 and at 55% of checking the file blue screen of death.........
message had something to do with kernel dispaging memory...

memtest86 wont boot from a dvd.. I used nero burning rom burnt the image. burn = sucessfull changed the boot sequence and it just boots the windows.
HELP guys or i will have to send laptop bloody sager :S -
Assuming you are still on vista...
Type System into your start menu search, and click "System" Then click "Advanced system settings"... Advanced tab ... Startup and Recovery... Click Settings... Uncheck Boxes: automatically restart and overwrite any existing files(unless you have minidumps selected, which is fine.).
Now you can read the blue screen for longer, it may have a more specific error. You can also save more than one memory dumps (located in the Windows directory, created after each bluescreen.) These memory dumps will help you if you ever find someone who can analyze them. (Or if you somehow teach yourself how to analyze memory dumps.)
Now to do a memory test, you don't need memtest86 (as long as you have vista) type "Memory Diagnostics Tool" in the start menu search, and have it schedule to run on next boot. Restart when you are ready to run the test.
I have only learned all of this because I am also receiving bluescreens, thats all the help I can give, I do not know anything specific to your problem. -
I did the vista memory diagnostic and it didnt find anything. But ill try to read the blue screens error codes since i am in college for computers so yeah just more studying (i need it anyways)
