Just rec'd my unit and so far am very pleased except for the built in microphone. Its sad with so much going for this notebook that the mic is so poor. Has anyone had success with a driver update or point me to a Vista setting that I've overlooked. I had hoped that the notebook would not require an external mic for video conferencing, skype, etc. but I have found the built in mic's to be practically unusable. It would be nice not to have to pack an external mic.

Ive been using the Mic+webcam w/o problems (skype)...that in Vista32 and XP. Why you think it's unusable? Noise?
