After playing around with my new sager and getting everything setup, there's still a few buttons that I need help with.

First off, I have no clue what the two buttons on the very left are for. The top one looks like it has something to do with power, and the bottom something to do with USB ports?

There's a slider button on the front to the right of the status lights; not sure what it's for.

I'm also not sure about the Wow buttons, as it seems most people are as well. What do they even do? I'm assuming I need drivers for them since when I push them a light flashes real quick and then nothing happens. I tried looking on the bizcom site, but I have no clue what to download. If anybody could give me a link, that would be awsome.

the buttons on the left : one is a smart charging button that charges the battery to a certain percentage.
the other is to activate power usb charging which is basically being able to charge usb periferals while the computer is off.

Slider : Bluetooth and WiFi on and off slider.

    Thanks.

So does the smart charge allow you to always leave the battery in since you'd set it to only charge to a certain percentage, or should I always keep the battery out if I'm not using it anyways.

When I press the Wow buttons a box pops up in the lower right corner that changes the video or audio settings. For video, it cycles through various settings like "movie" and "game and for audio it goes through "flat", "pop", and "classical".

the wow audio is probably an equalizer modification system so I will give you generic answers to the settings

Flat : no modification of sound

Pop : 8-16 KHz and the 250 to 500 Hz raised

    Classical: Lower frequencies raised

Has anybody used the smart charging button yet? When I click it, it does nothing, whether the battery is plugged in or not.

Anybody tried the Power USB yet? Which USB port gets extra power when it's active..all of them? just the two on the left?
Do you need a driver for that button to work? mine does not illuminate as the brochure says....I suspect it's not working.

anyone know if it's possible to change the email button to the email website of your choice? i don't want the default windows email or Outlook 2007 to load.

Went to the manual (on the Sager DVD rom). Found a neat feature in Adobe PDF...when you do a search it provides links to all the searches and they show in another pane, (doh, I never used that before)

While it isn't 100% clear to me, they seem to indicate that the USB ports on the right side are regular power USB (for mice or flash drive) and the ones on the left are for perpherals needing more power (like a camera or an external HDD)

I don't have the Sager in front of me (it's my son's) but is it possible the Power USB button is to be able to power or charge a USB device (like an iPOD) when the PC is off? And it has nothing to do whether a port is the "high" power USB or the regular ones? I thought I've heard of that feature on some PC's.

Note: did a search on "smart battery" in the forums and many threads come up, mostly in the Compal forum. They seem to confirm that the Power button is for using when PC is powered down but is only for cell phone or iPod type things) It also sounds like the high power USB ports are the ones that have this feature which probably is leading to some of the confusion about the two related, but different features!

There is also a 14 or so page manual on the Smart Battery on the DVD rom and a search on the forum also turns up many discussions on it.

I don't know if this is helpful or if this is just a rehash of some other replies, hope it's the former.
