    Hi folks,

Since I have never owned a laptop with Battery "Extending Out" ... I am having a bit of delimma or may be I am "Over Analyzing" ... so I need the EXPERTS Helppppp .... meaning YOU FOLKS ...

    For Sager NP2092 ...

Q1: The 9 Cell battery sticks out ... by how much 1/2 inch or what?

Q2: If I put my laptop in a Business Carrying Bag ... my Old DELL Leahter carry-on ... with Sager laptop the Battery down toward the bottom ... since the Battery sticks out ... would the weight of laptop eventually wear on the Battery Connection eventually??? You know since it sticks out only about half way of the laptop backbone ...

Q3: Where can someone buy a Cheap 6 Cell battery for the NP2092?
And what the heck is the Model Number for the 6 Cell???

    Thanks,

    G! :)

Just so you know if you have the 1680x1050 screen on there you cant have the 6-cell, it uses too much power or something. Also, I own the 2092, and the battery sticks out about 1/2 inch. Its hardly noticeable. I love it. I cant answer your question on wear tho...the battery on mine seems really solid and i dont think it would wear much, but who knows.

I'd say it's between 3/4 to 1 inch, not very problematic. Just be careful in your case choices and measurements.

I'm sure any reasonable stress like holding on to it is fine. But I'd avoid setting it down in a case battery down.

It actually sticks out exactly 3/4", but as others have said it does not seem to be problematical once you get over the initial visual of it.

Most people actually prefer the extra 1 to 1.5 hours battery life it gives you.

As for your case...is it for a widescreen laptop, or the older 4:3 aspect ratio laptop. If the later, your case may not be wide enough. I doubt however that you would have any issues with its height, but double check the measurements to be sure.
