    Hi folks,

since I was getting different answers on this topic (Battery Charging, Battery Usage, AC Charging, ...) depending on who I talked to ... I decided to post this thread ... btw, I searched thru this forum extensively and I did not come across this Q or something close to this ... so ...

I looked thru the pdf file that comes with the unit ... and it does not tell you anything more than just basic stuff ...

Also, let me say that I even called and spoke to the Sager Tech Support on this (no names on this so they won't get in trouble) ... you'll see their response after my Q ...

I wanted to know what is the "BEST" way to run my laptop ... here is what I do ... I turn on my laptop in the morning and plugged it into the wall charger and leave it on all day till I am ready to go home from work ... I leave the "Smart Battery" program on Default setting whihc is "Full Charging".

Q1: Is what I am doing A-OK? Or will it screw up the battery before it's lifetime?

Q2: I have heard some folks say ... when a new battery ... Fully Charge and Discharge it 2 or 3 times before using it?
BTW, these new batteries are Li-Ion ... so I wonder if that is needed!?!?

As I mentioned before Sager Tech Support guy told me what I was A-OK the way I was running my laptop withthe AC Charger plugged into the wall and battery on Full via "Smart Battery" program ... and that is his recommendation also.

So, I wanted to make sure that you folks ... the Forums Experts would give me the "Correct" way of doing it ... or confirm Sager Tech's answer.

    Thanks,

    G! :)
