The video card in my Sager 2092 has now died on me a second time with one month left on the warranty. I'm currently working in Saudi Arabia and 'm not sure I can get back before the warranty expires. The laptop was sent for repair the first time in September 2008. Here's the problem...

I have already emailed Xotic PC and they say that if it's not returned by the expiration of the warranty then I'm out of luck because it's a Sager policy. I can understand their stance on that but this is the second time the video card has failed in less than a year. These video cards are known to have problems (8600GT). Is it unreasonable to expect Xotic PC to fix this laptop if I'm a couple of weeks past the warranty?

Has anyone had a similar experience or circumstance as this? I'm really ticked right now because I bought this as a travel laptop and it's now failed on the last two trips I've used it. The first time I was in Belgium and had to wait until I returned to send it back. Even if they fix it I doubt I can trust it. I really feel they should replace the video card with a model that is not known to fail so often (if there is such a thing) or replace the laptop with one that uses a more reliable card. I seriously doubt either of these will happen but it would be the right thing to do.

    Any advice from anyone?
