While I watch media on my laptop, while reading ahead (skipping to the middle of the video etc) the video will black screen and freeze, meanwhile I can use other applications, just the media player (I usually use windows media player) stops responding temporarily. I have the latest graphics drivers from laptop2video.

Any video or just certain types? Are you playing from the Harddrive, DVD Drive or internet?
-
just any video, and it is straight off my hard drive
-
What quality video are you watching when this happens? Is it only high def or in smaller videos, too?
-
All kinds. Ive watched HD, Regular, and even low quality and it happens.
-
Hm. Perhaps try rolling back ForceWare drivers to the latest supported by compal/sager?
You're not in Power Saver mode are you? -
I suppose i could try that, but it would be kinda last resort, cause if i do i cant downclock my GPU to save battery.
-
Which codecs are you using? You could give K-Lite a try, and then use Windows Media Player Classic?
-
Ok, ill do that. What exactly is K-lite?
-
K-Lite is a codec (pack) that will supply you with most of what you need for video and audio listening. Windows Media Player Classic is a bonus player, which in my opinion beats Windows Media Player hands down.
Here, get the full version.

Download something called GOM player it is an awesome Movie/film player that plays almost any file.
-
So klite will be an add-on for Windows media player? Cause i would prefer to continue using it.
