Just out of curiosity, what do they do with the notebooks that are returned? Use parts for RMA work maybe?

Answer with a question, If you were running the company, what would you do with the returned products?

Probably sell them as refurbs at a discounted rate after making any necessary adjustments.

Good question but I bet they pull the parts and re use them and then test the platform. Most RMAs are in the 30 no questions asked window. Too costly to have fully built systems you sell as a refurb just lying around.
