I've got a sager, (my 4th one) and the video card is acting funky. First off, any kind of scrolling documents and web is kinda sluggish, but 3d runs smoothly.

Every now and then, the nvidia driver fails, and screen gets FUBAR, this time a reset help, sometimes i have to reinstall the drivers. Now again, with just the reset, my 3ds max runs very sluggish.

I wonder if there is something wrong with the card and if i should warranty it, since i've probably got a couple more months and i'm in the states atm.

I dont even know which one is it. It has a 1920x1080, a quad i7 cpu, 8 gigs of ram, and oddly, no stickers anywhere. It also has a plastic screen face. I know that the same number appeared like 3-4 weeks after i bought this and seemed to have the nice old metal finish.

    My np5720 burned the cpu
The first one with the orange stripe got stolen
the second one, i think it burned the motherboard...

not sure why im sticking with sager

Click the white flag in the taskbar. Open action center and select Maintenance, then select View Reliability history and see how many Red X you have and what the problem was. If you have many Video hardware error I would contact the manufacturer.

I would definitely suggest sending it in for RMA if you've got some time left in the states. It seems like it is a GPU issue since it is affecting your screen. You also shouldn't have to reinstall the drivers so often.

Are you sending direct to Sager, or do you have a retailer/reseller that you purchased through? Turn around time and effort is usually minimal if you go through your retailer though it depends on the exact warranty.
