My main OS is Linux, so every now and then hardware can be an issue. One of the annoyances in the NX9600 I'm testing, is the laptop won't get past the bios with a non-approved mini-pci wireless card in it. Most likely I'll be swapping out the wireless card that comes with the 5720 for something that has better Linux support. Are there any bios limitations with swapping out the hardware?

There shouldn't be BIOS issues, but you should confirm that the wireless card can be removed.

That's the problem with HP - they lock the BIOS in their notebooks so it won't accept non-HP cards. So, that's why you have issues.

The Sager is not locked, so I don't forsee that you will have any issues.

Great, and thanks. I found some Atheros based cards on ebay for about $30.00 that I know will work well.

Yes, Atheros wireless cards are very good. I've heard the 5005 is one of the best, so keep an eye out for that. ;)
