    Sager 5720 heat worries

    I am not sure how long it has been like this, but part of my lcd screen gets very hot, almost painful if you hold your finger on it for a few seconds. Well, its not actually on the lcd screen, its on the plastic casing around it, right above the back usb ports.

    The circled area is where it gets hot. Is this normal? I can't imagine it is, but I've had this laptop for 5 or 6 months already, and my lcd shows no sign of damage or any oddities around that area. Or perhaps does anyone know how to fix this, unless you would need to send it in

    That area gets hot on a lot of notebooks . . . I'd venture to say that it is not something to worry about. I believe right there is where the power connects, as well as the monitor hookup to the motherboard.

    Glad to hear its somewhat normal, i didnt want my laptop screen to start fading or something bad if i left it on too long.
