    I was told that the only drivers i am able to use are the ones from the manufacturer (powernotebooks.com). i am unsure if the drivers have anything to do with it but, my fps in games have dropped dramatically from what they used to be (50-70 to 10-25). Ive checked my fans and made sure the system was clean. but no luck, formatted pc, attempted to find new drivers and im started to regret the purchase i made less than a year ago, when i cant even enjoy playing a video game at a decent fps. anyone have any suggestions?

    Different drivers work differently for games. Some are better than others.

    One note you need to uninstall your previous drivers 1st. I always set my resolution to 640x480 and 8bit then I uninstall the drivers from control panel. Then I go to my computer, properties, device manager then select display adapter and uninstall my gfx card(s). Reboot into safe mode click yes that you want to stay in safe mode and cancel when it comes up wanting to install your gfx card. Then run drivercleaner and CCleaner (registery part). Then boot back into windows normal mode and click no when the gfx card install dialog comes up.

    Paymon if you are playing current games then I would recommend getting the 169.04 drivers. Download the 169.04 file then unzip it to a folder on your desktop. Download the modified .inf file and move it into the folder you unzipped to. It should come up with a message about overwriting a file. The old one should be about 50kb and the new one should be about 99kb. Click yes and then go to the file and scroll all the way to the bottom for the setup.exe. Run it and you should be set.

    You may have to use the install from device manager method if the autosetup doesn't work for you. There are some good threads on this do a search.

    That should help you.

    @Paymon:

    You need to make sure you downloaded the modded INF to the driver folder like the laptopvideo2go.com site instructs. If you just download and try to install the driver, it won't work, because the driver itself is nothing more than a standard nVIDIA graphics driver. The modded INF is what allows you to install it on your notebook.

    It`s expected that frames will drop where there is more motion and rendering. Think of it this way : when water pours, it`s a continuos wave ,pretty easy to render.When rain drops pour,all of them have individual speed,size,texture,etc, making the GPU and CPU struggle hard to render them separately , but as a whole for you to get a frame. And they have to give you a lot of frames per second. Pretty hard, when there`s a lot of those "rain drops".
